Liverpool and Man Utd Note David Villa Developments
Thursday, 29th October 2009
Both Liverpool and Manchester United are thought to have noted developments in Spain with Valencia’s David Villa having parted company with his agent, according to TVNZ. The move is thought to have come about following the failure of Villa to move from Valencia this summer, with the striker supposedly keen on an exit from Valencia.
Villa’s decision to end his relationship with Jose Luis Tamargo appears a strange one as Valencia’s internal powerstruggle and takeover saga would clearly seem to have been more responsible for the breakdown of Villa’s proposed Real Madrid move than his agent. It also seems certain that Villa will be on the move in the summer regardless of who represents him, with Valencia widely known to have to axe €50M from their budget next summer.
Given the Valencia striker’s preference for remaining in Spain it also is questionable whether he will end up in England despite Liverpool and Manchester United counting amongst his two biggest cheerleaders.
