Nice Striker Remy Talks Up Possible Arsenal Move
Sunday, 22nd November 2009
Nice striker Loic Remy has talked down a move abroad in the January transfer window but talked up a possible move to Premier League side Arsenal in the summer. Remy, who was recently called up for France’s squad which defeated Ireland in the World Cup playoff, has been impressing with Nice in Ligue 1 so far this season.
The 22-year-old product of the Lyon youth academy was speaking to French paper Parisan. "From the middle of the season it’s always a bit risky [to move]. I made the national team with Nice so there is no reason not to stay here until the World Cup."
Remy then mentioned the possibility of a move to Arsenal, perhaps after the World Cup. "I often speak with Abu [Diaby] and Bacary [Sagna]. They say once you are there, you want to spend your whole career there."
If Remy continues to produce his Ligue 1 performances of this season so far with Nice, he could be a possible star of the World Cup, and Arsenal would by no means be the only club interested in obtaining his services.
