Ryan Babel Could Look For Liverpool Exit
Tuesday, 24th November 2009
According to Sky Sports, 22-year-old Ryan Babel has spoken out about his lack of first-team football for Liverpool. Although currently out injured, the Dutch international is perplexed at his extreme lack of playing time this season.
Babel said, “Isn’t it unbelievable that in my first year I got chosen as Talent of the Year, and a season later I hardly play and without getting a proper chance?” The former Ajax striker went on to state his situation at Anfield is bleak, “I have tried to talk to the manager but it isn’t of any use. I couldn’t really do anything with the feedback Benitez gave me.”
With Babel seemingly out of favour with manager Rafael Benitez, the young Liverpool winger has looked at a possible January exit as a solution to his dilemma: "We have agreed to look at my situation in the winter. If there’s no improvement then, I have to be honest, I want to be somewhere else.”
