Avram Grant Preparing to Take Over as Portsmouth Manager
Thursday, 26th November 2009
According to The Guardian, Portsmouth technical director of football Avram Grant, is being tipped as the most likely to replace Paul Hart as new manager of the struggling club. The Israeli 54-year-old is said to be very interested in taking the opportunity, and is taking the necessary steps to make the appointment official.
Whether Grant accepts the challenge of keeping Portsmouth in the Premier League, is likely to be made clear before the weekend, when Manchester United visit Fratton Park. However, issues regarding the former Chelsea manager’s work permit could hamper Grant’s immediate appointment.
Aside from Grant, who looks best placed to take the job, former West Ham manager Alan Curbishley has also been tipped as a possible replacement.
