Monday, 30th November 2009
In the wake of Manchester United’s 4-1 victory of Portsmouth at the weekend, where Ryan Giggs scored his 100th Premier League goal, hat-trick hero Wayne Rooney was full of praise for the Welsh 36-year-old veteran.
“He is as good as ever. He is one of the sharpest every day in training and in this game on quite a difficult pitch and in difficult weather he puts in a performance like that. He is incredible. It is a privilege to play with him,” Rooney said to the Daily Telegraph.
Inducted into the English Fooball Hall of Fame in 2005, Giggs, whose been tipped to play for two more years by manager Sir Alex Ferguson, has a staggering 11 Premier League titles, two Champions League winners’ medals, and four FA Cup winners’ medals among a plethora of various personal honours and achievements.
