Distin Delighted with Saha’s Everton Extension
Monday, 8th February 2010
Everton defender Sylvain Distin, despite being disappointed with the weekend’s defeat to city rivals Liverpool, has urged his team-mates to forget the loss and focus on the game ahead. He also expressed his delight at the news that former Manchester United man Louis Saha has signed a two-year extension with the club.
"It’s great news," said Distin to the club’s official website. "He’s a fantastic player He’s a good guy in the dressing room as well so it’s great news for the fans, the staff and players. He’s really lively and he’s really friendly so it’s always enjoyable to be around guys like that."
Everton were handed their first defeat in the Premier League since late November, when they lost 2-0 at Goodison Park against Liverpool, in the reverse fixture of the weekend’s match at Anfield.
