Real Madrid’s Kaka: Hernia Problem is Behind Me
Tuesday, 9th February 2010
Amidst reports that he will have to battle hernia problems for the rest of his life, Kaka has spoken to his club’s official website to clear up the speculation. The Brazilian attacking maestro hasn’t hit the form that has come to be expected of him as of yet, suffering injuries in the first half of the season that have disrupted his flow of regular games. Now that he is back fit however, the 28-year-old believes his injury problems are behind him and claims he his intent to return to his dazzling best.
“I feel good. The sports hernia does not bother me any more. It has disappeared, but I still need to do specific recovery work like any injured player does. Last week it was rumored that it is a chronic problem which isn’t true,” Kaka said. “It isn’t just in Spain where there has been talk about me not being able to return to my old form. It also happened in Brazil and Italy, but it simply isn’t true.”
The former AC Milan star has made just 14 appearances for Real Madrid so far, and has yet to find the explosive partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo that was first envisioned upon their captures in the summer.
