Standard Liege and Olivier Dacourt Part Ways
Tuesday, 9th February 2010
According to France Football, Olivier Dacourt has agreed “by mutual consent” to leave Belgian champions Standard Liege after joining the club just in September of last year. The French journeyman was brought in as cover for the injured Steven Defour, and made eight appearances in his brief stint with the side.
Dacourt started his career with six years spent at French side Strasbourg before becoming a club hopper, beginning with Everton and including the likes of Leeds United, Fulham Roma and Inter Milan.
The 35-year-old former French international has definitely enjoyed quite a few top clubs in Europe, but is believed to be hoping for a particular return Leeds to finish off his football playing career.
