Liverpool’s hunt for a new left full back appears to have taken a blow with the news that Sampdoria are ready to reject their bid for Reto Ziegler.
According to Italian daily Tuttosport, Sampdoria are ready to turn their back on a bid of €8M from Liverpool for the former Tottenham Hotspur player. The Serie A side do not want to lose Ziegler and it does not appear €8M is enough to convince them otherwise.
For Liverpool the situation grows more desperate by the day in their left full back slot. Having lost both Fabio Aurelio and Emiliano Insua over the summer months, the Anfield side lack an experienced campaigner to field at left back. It will surely be an area they must address before too long.
