Julio Baptista Snubs Olympiacos and Galatasaray Interest

Roma attacking midfielder Julio Baptista has refused offers from both Olympiacos and Galatasaray. The Serie A side seemed quite willing to allow the Brazilian to head to either Greece or Turkey, but Baptista did not fancy a move.
While the former Real Madrid man is not surplus to requirements at the Stadio Olmpico, he has also not set Serie A on fire and there is a feeling the 28-year-old may not rediscover his best form in a Roma shirt.
For Olympiacos and Galatasaray, Baptista’s decision is a disappointment as his arrival would have been greeted with pleasure by their faithful and taken as a sign of their ambition.
