Arsenal are watching the situation of Paris Saint-Germain’s talented young defender Mamadou Sakho with great interest according to reports from France, and have already indicated how much the player could earn in London.

PSG are keen to persuade Sakho to ink a new contract in the French capital and the youngster has been offered €250,000 per month to sign on the dotted line. However, L’Equipe reports that Sakho has been made aware of the fact that if he headed to Arsenal in the summer, he could expect a monthly wage of some €400,000.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a confirmed admirer of the powerful 20-year-old defender who has been likened to a young Lilian Thuram throughout his fledgling career.

Arsenal are expected to offer PSG €15M for Sakho’s services in the summer, although they are aware that only if the defender continues to stall on a new deal will they have a chance of convincing the Ligue 1 giants to sell.
