Midfielder Olivier Kapo, who recently saw his contract at Scottish giants Celtic terminated because he could not agree a further deal with the club, is relaunching his career in the Middle East.

The 30-year-old has confirmed that he has signed a five-month contract with Qatari club Al-Ahli and will assess the set-up in the region, while trying to win a longer deal.

Kapo is expected to make his debut at the weekend when Al-Ahli take on Al-Gharafa. The midfielder will see familiar faces from Ligue 1 in the opposition line up, as Al-Gharafa boast former Lyon star Juninho and Amara Diane.
