Serie A giants Fiorentina are expected to rival Dinamo Bucharest at the end of the season for the signature of Stuttgart striker Cipiran Marica.
La Viola are plotting a move for the 25-year-old, who is expected to quit Stuttgart when the Bundesliga campaign ends, particularly if the club are relegated to the 2.Bundesliga, a drop which could cause something of a fire sale.
The German club will put a price-tag of some €5M on the Romanian striker’s head and then it will be for interested parties to battle it out for his signature.
Marica, who began his career at Dinamo Bucharest, could fancy returning home, but Fiorentina believe they would be a more attractive destination and could convince him to continue his adventure abroad.
Another entry into the race may well be Turkish side Galatasaray. What is certain however is that Marica will not be short of offers in the summer.
