La Liga side Hercules are considering moving for Chelsea star Florent Malouda as they bid to continue improving their side next season.

The ambitious Spanish club added Malouda’s countryman David Trezeguet in the summer, snapping up the striker from Juventus, and want to make an equally big splash in the summer.

Indeed, reports from Spain imply that it is Trezeguet who has suggested Hercules bid to take Malouda away from Stamford Bridge, with the ex-Old Lady forward sure the 30-year-old would help their cause.

Hercules look set to sound Chelsea out over Malouda, with a figure of some €7M in mind for the Frenchman.

The attitude of Chelsea towards parting with the winger they bought from Lyon in 2007 is not known, but Malouda will be 31 years old by the time the 2011/12 Premier League season kicks off and the Blues have been working hard to bring the average age of their squad down.

Hercules currently sit 15th in La Liga.
