Lyon’s flying Brazilian full back Michel Bastos is on the verge of completing a move to Juventus according to his agent.

Bastos has been linked with a move away from the Stade Gerland throughout most of the season, with the Brazilian keen to experience a new challenge away from French football.

Juventus, for their part, have long tracked Bastos, a fact of which the player himself has been constantly aware, and the Bianconeri’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League has not put the Brazilian off a move to Turin.

Asked by France Football about Bastos’ prospects for a transfer to Juventus, his agent replied that the deal is "90%" done.

The 27-year-old, who can operate on the left wing as well as at left back, joined Lyon in 2009 from Lille, costing the Ligue 1 giants a fee of €18M.

Involved in French football since joining Lille in 2006, Bastos is keen to experience Serie A, even if doing so means missing Champions League football next season.
