Real Madrid have been linked with a late move for Dutch winger Eljero Elia.

The Hamburg man recently declared that he was not interested in a switch to Italian giants Juventus, pointing out that if Arsenal or Chelsea had bid for him then his reaction would be different.

And Elia is likely to group Real Madrid with the two English giants.

Los Blancos boss Jose Mourinho is a keen follower of Bundesliga football, having already swooped to pick up Mesut Ozil from Werder Bremen and Sami Khedira from Stuttgart last summer, while this year Nuri Sahin was bought from Borussia Dortmund and Hamit Altintop taken from Bayern Munich.

24-year-old Elia could be Mourinho’s next target as the Portuguese is thought to be considering adding another speedy winger to his squad.

And while Hamburg do not want to sell Elia, the German side would be powerless to stand in the way of a move to one of the world’s biggest clubs for the winger.
