Raul has played down speculation that he could quit Bundesliga side Schalke and confirmed that it is his intention to see out his contract with the Ruhr giants.

The legendary Spanish striker has had a number of offers to leave Schalke this summer, with Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala and French side Paris Saint-Germain linked, while Raul also turned down a concrete proposal from English Premier League outfit Blackburn Rovers.

And despite talk that the former Real Madrid icon does not see eye-to-eye with Schalke boss Ralf Rangnick, Raul is not preparing to leave.

"I will fulfil my contract", said the 34-year-old, whose deal expires in the summer of 2012.

"I am very proud to play in the Bundesliga.

"I feel at home here, my wife and my children are fully integrated into life in Germany."
