Highly rated Freiburg striker Papiss Cisse has revealed that he wants to quit the Bundesliga club in search of greener pastures.

Cisse took the Bundesliga by storm last season, scoring 22 goals, and he has already found the back of the net four times this season.

A bid from Wolfsburg was rejected by Freiburg last January, but if a move does come about the English Premier League looks the Senegal man’s most likely destination, with Blackburn Rovers, Fulham and Sunderland eyeing the 26-year-old.

And this interest has turned Cisse’s head.

"I want to leave", Cisse told SWR.

"Yes, I have a contract, but I want to test myself at another level.

"Some clubs are in for me and some calls have been made."

Freiburg would have to be made a lucrative offer for Cisse to leave however, as the German club are concerned about being unable to replace the striker before the transfer window closes.
