Giovani dos Santos has hit out at Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp for blocking a transfer deadline day move to Sevilla.

The Mexican was desperate to move to the Spanish giants and revealed everything had been agreed, only for Redknapp to turn round at the last minute and scupper the deal.

Dos Santos therefore found himself stuck at White Hart Lane as the window closed and has wasted little time in lashing out at Redknapp.

"Two hours before the close of the market Harry Redknapp changed his mind", said the 22-year-old.

"In the last three years there has been no trust in me", added Dos Santos, pointing out that since landing at Tottenham in 2008 from Barcelona, he has spent time on loan at Ipswich Town, Galatasaray and Racing Santander.

"I hope that now, when I talk to Redknapp, I can hear the truth about why I should stay here."

Dos Santos has already begun to be linked with a move away from Spurs in January and, should he fail to feel real trust and a vote of confidence for Redknapp, the odds are still that the Mexican will leave White Hart Lane.

The player has been included in Spurs’ 25-man Premier League squad however, and believes he should now receive a chance.
