Liverpool star Dirk Kuyt is helping out the club at which his career began – Quick Boys.

The Dutch international started out in the game at the amateur football club from Katwijk before moving to Utrecht in 1998.

Next up for Kuyt was a switch to Feyenoord, before he penned a dream move to English Premier League giants Liverpool in 2006.


The 31-year-old though has never forgotten his roots and is acting as an advisor for Quick Boys.

"Dirk is active in an advisory role on football and in a technical role at Quick Boys", read a statement released by the Dutch side.

Kuyt will offer his views on how the club can improve their training techniques as well as advising on how to bring the best youngsters through to make an impact.

The striker played with Quick Boys from the age of five until seventeen.
