Young Partizan Belgrade starlet Lazar Markovic is hoping that Chelsea swoop for his services despite serious interest from Fiorentina.

The 17-year-old has been dubbed the "new Stevan Jovetic" and it is little surprise that La Viola want to pair the duo up at the Stadio Artemio Franchi to wreak havoc on Serie A defences.

But if the forward gets his way, then it is Stamford Bridge which will be his destination, and Chelsea the team at which he will continue his development.

"Chelsea is the club I love the most, of course after Partizan", said Markovic.

"And I’d like to play there.

"I believe that the best football is in England; that is a type of league that suits me."

The Serbian forward made his debut for Partizan last season, but has enjoyed more regular game time this term, managing over a dozen appearances for the SuperLiga champions.

With the promising youngster under contract until 2016 however, Partizan will no doubt wish to extract a lucrative fee from whichever club Markovic chooses to sign for.
