Lucas Biglia’s agent has confirmed there is interest in his client from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Fiorentina.

The price on the head of the Anderlecht midfielder is €8M and Enzo Montepaone is sure that it is high time his client made the progression from the Belgian giants to one of the biggest clubs in the game.

Biglia has been sidelined through injury of late, suffering a shoulder problem – but with the surgery carried out proving successful, the 25-year-old is expected to return to action much sooner than the original end of January estimate.

But his comeback could only benefit Anderlecht for a limited time if he moves on in the winter window.

Asked about speculated interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Fiorentina, Montepaone told Nieuwsblad: "There is interest from some of those clubs.

"Lucas came to Anderlecht in 2006 to learn and grow", added the agent, going on to point out only a switch to the elite sides of the game would be considered.

"I think he is now mature and ready to move to a top club.

"The goal is not to move to another club underneath this level, this is why we turned down offers from clubs such as Atletico Madrid.

"Biglia has the potential to develop further at an elite club."

The Argentine pass-master is under contract with Anderlecht until 2015 and while the Belgian giants do not want to part with him in January, a bid of €8M would, it is understood, be accepted.
