Djibril Cisse could well make a return to British shores before the winter transfer window slams shut and the forward is leaving the door open for a move.
The French striker, who currently plays for Lazio in Serie A, is being targeted by English Premier League side Queens Park Rangers and Scottish giants Celtic.
And Cisse, who has played for Liverpool and Sunderland, is believed to be tempted by the prospect of leaving Italy for familiar surrounds.
Cisse only joined Lazio last summer after two seasons of prolific goalscoring in Greece with Panathinaikos.
His time in the Italian capital has not gone to plan though, with a distinct lack of goals and minutes on the pitch frustrating the 30-year-old.
Lazio are thought ready to accept around £5M for Cisse, though a loan option could also be considered.
QPR boss Mark Hughes, reshaping his side after succeeding Neil Warnock at Loftus Road, has targeted Cisse and could push through a swoop before the window closes, though Celtic, also on the lookout for a new striker, are keen.
Cisse himself is leaving the door firmly open.
"The transfer market is not over", said the striker.
"There are a few days left and you never know what could happen."
