Carlos Tevez could yet be offered a late route out of his Manchester City nightmare by Anzhi Makhachkala.

The wealthy Russian Premier League club are believed to be pondering making the Argentine a lucrative offer before the winter transfer window closes – and they are the only show in town.

Indeed, following Manchester City’s failure to find an agreement with AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter, Tevez looks stuck at Eastlands until the end of the season.

There has been speculation of a late U-turn by Milan and a fresh offer, but that is still a long shot for the Argentine.

Should Anzhi make good on their interest, Tevez could be offered up to €18M per season to partner Samuel Eto’o up front.

For the 27-year-old though, such a switch would mean living even further away from his native Argentina, something he is reluctant to do.

As the clock ticks down to the transfer deadline though, Tevez may have a difficult decision to make.
