Chelsea’s new signing Kevin De Bruyne has admitted he expects to be loaned out by the Stamford Bridge outfit next season, with Steve McClaren’s FC Twente a possible destination.

The Blues snapped up De Bruyne from Genk last month, completing a long chase for the goalscoring midfielder.

As part of the agreement, the 20-year-old was instantly loaned back to the Belgian champions until the end of the current campaign.

And De Bruyne feels that his loan adventure is set to continue for the 2012/13 season too, with chances under Andre Villas-Boas at Stamford Bridge limited, while his development would best be served by regular first team football.

After confirming he expected a loan switch, De Bruyne told Belgian TV show Extra Time that his destination "won’t be in Belgium."

Indeed, Genk made sure of that, the midfielder confirmed.

"It’s impossible. Genk managed to include a clause in my contract which forbids Chelsea from loaning me to a club other than Genk in Belgium."

As to where he might end up, De Bruyne floated the possibility of Holland, where FC Twente, under English coach Steve McClaren, are keen.

"There has already been contact between Chelsea and other clubs abroad", said the Belgian starlet.

"Twente have already expressed an interest in me, but I can’t say too much about it for now.

"First I’m going to focus on my first period at Chelsea."
