Xherdan Shaqiri has explained he is signing for Bayern Munich to regularly win silverware – with everything that it is possible for the Bavarians to win in his sights.
The Swiss winger has agreed to move to the Allianz Arena in the summer, with Basel pocketing €13M for their promising starlet.
For Bayern Munich too the deal looks a wise one, with Shaqiri earmarked as a long term replacement Arjen Robben.
"I’m going to Bayern Munich because I want to win everything", Shaqiri told Sport1, "starting from next season."
And the Switzerland international believes the quality of the players at the Bavarians will allow him to do just that – although it also promises to provide a battle for a first team spot.
"There are so many great players so I’ve got to try to win my spot", added the winger.
