Real Madrid La Liga Lead at 13 Points as Karim Benzema Hails “Perfect Night”

Sunday, 19th February, 2012

Real Madrid have increased their lead over Barcelona at the top of La Liga to a whopping 13 points.

Jose Mourinho’s men brushed aside Racing Santander at the Bernabeu, running out convincing 4-0 winners with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Angel di Maria and Karim Benzema (twice).

And the French striker dubbed the evening "perfect", with the pressure now firmly on Barcelona to respond ahead of their clash against Valencia later today.

"It was a perfect night, I scored and the team won", said Benzema.

The former Lyon man though refused to consider La Liga won, despite a 13-point advantage over Barcelona having been opened up.

"It is true that 13 points is a lot, but we must keep going."
