Prolific Mons striker Jeremy Perbet has confirmed that he has rejected an offer from Russian Premier League side Krylia Sovetov Samara.

The French goal-getter, who recently told Inside Futbol that he views the Dutch Eredivisie as his next perfect step, was wanted by the Russian club, but opted to pass.

Indeed, Perbet wants to wait until the end of the season to consider his options.

"It’s true", said the striker.

"I received an offer from Krylia Sovetov that would have allowed me to earn quite well, but it was not what I expected from a Russian club.

"I think the best choice was to stay and to enjoy the rest of this great season."

In the current calendar year Perbet has continued his goalscoring exploits. The Frenchman managed 40 goals in 40 games in 2011.
