CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda will assess his options in the summer, according to his agent.
The Japan schemer came close to moving to Serie A side Lazio in the January transfer window, but Edy Reja’s men were unable to come to agreement with CSKA Moscow despite marathon-like talks.
Lazio could revive their interest in the 25-year-old when the summer market commences, although it appears likely the Italian side will have rivals for the player’s signature by that time.
Honda’s agent Kees Ploegsma has confirmed that Lazio were his client’s only option in the winter window, but options will be reassessed in June.
"Lazio were the only club with a serious interest in Honda", said Ploegsma.
"In winter it did not happen, so we have to wait until June.
"Until then, he’s just staying at CSKA."
