Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini took in Eden Hazard’s performance for Lille in the club’s 4-0 weekend drubbing of Valenciennes.

Hazard was recently watched first hand by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and, as the summer transfer window approaches, the race for the 21-year-old’s signature is starting to heat up.

However Hazard, who scored the first in his side’s Ligue 1 victory, insists that while he knew of the presence of Mancini in the crowd, just as he had been aware of Ferguson, it did not affect his performance.

"When Alex Ferguson and Roberto Mancini are there, I don’t think about it", said the Belgian.

"I knew that Roberto Mancini was there – the coach [Rudi Garcia] told me.

"I did not think about it. I just tried to use my skills and we will see about later because I am focused on Lille this season."

Hazard has attracted attention from a whole host of Europe’s top clubs, though the English Premier League is expected to be his destination.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are all making the running for his signature.
