Greek champions Olympiacos are thought to be considering a move for Valencia boss Unai Emery if Ernesto Valverde does not remain at the club.

Valverde is in his second spell at Olympiacos, but is expected to head back to Spain in the summer, regardless of whether he has a new position lined up or not.

The Greek giants have not given up hope of persuading the former Villarreal coach to remain, though planning is already under way on thoughts of who might succeed the Spaniard.

It appears to be to Spain again that Olympiacos are looking, and Emery specifically.

Despite keeping Los Che as the best of the rest in La Liga, behind Barcelona and Real Madrid, the natives at the Mestalla are restless.

Emery is likely to be replaced as Valencia coach in the summer and may jump at the chance to quickly return to the game with Olympiacos.
