Bundesliga giants Hamburg have joined the hunt for Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt, according to De Telegraaf.

The Dutchman is expected to quit Anfield this summer after growing disillusioned at a lack of playing time under Kenny Dalglish.

Indeed Kuyt recently expressed his disappointment at being overlooked for Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Everton.

The 31-year-old will not be short of offers when the transfer window opens.

In Holland, the player’s former side Feyenoord are keen to take Kuyt back to De Kuip, while there is also significant interest from Italy, where Fiorentina and Roma have tracked the Liverpool man, while Inter may also revive their plans to sign the striker.

But now Kuyt is set to have an option in Germany.

Hamburg are believed to be ready to make Kuyt a lucrative offer to play his football in the Bundesliga next season, with a contract equal to his deal at Liverpool being prepared.
