Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has admitted he is in talks over remaining with United Arab Emirates side Al Ain.

Gyan joined the Middle East club last summer, signing a year-long loan deal to join up with the team from English Premier League outfit Sunderland.

The move to the UAE has proven to be a huge success for the 26-year-old, who has found the back of the net 19 times, becoming the top scorer of the country’s league in the process.

The former Rennes hitman also picked up the league title with Al Ain.

"Yes, I’m negotiating with Al Ain", Gyan told the Gulf News.

"I am very happy here", he added.

However, the forward was keen to stress the deal is not done yet, with other clubs also sniffing around the possibility of signing him.

"There are several clubs interested; let’s see what happens."
