Paris Saint-Germain’s budget for next season will be €200M, according to Le Parisien.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men had been given a budget of €150M for the current campaign, set by the club’s owners, the sovereign wealth fund of Qatar – but that is set to be massively increased.

PSG are guaranteed a spot in the group stage of next season’s Champions League after securing a minimum Ligue 1 finish of second. It is a competition the club are desperate to make a splash in – and to increase the quality of the playing staff an increase in budget is required.

Just two years ago the Parc des Prince side boasted a budget of €80M, but this has now skyrocketed.

Ancelotti and co. can still win this season’s Ligue 1, but would need a major turnaround on the final matchday on Sunday.

Montpellier lead the standings by three points and travel to play relegated Auxerre for their last match, while PSG make the trip to Lorient.

Both sides are level on goal difference.
