Sochaux winger Ryad Boudebouz has admitted Liverpool have spoken with his agent over a possible switch to Anfield.

The 22-year-old is also wanted by several other French clubs as the race to secure his signature prepares to pick up pace over the summer.

Boudebouz appears set to leave Sochaux, with the Ligue 1 outfit thought to be looking for a reasonable €7M to sell the Algeria international after he contributed to a successful battle against relegation.

Speaking after Algeria’s 3-0 international friendly victory over Niger, Boudebouz confirmed that his agent has been busy fielding enquiries.

"My agent is indeed having conversations with a number of clubs", said the Sochaux man.

"In particular there are some clubs from France, but there is nothing concrete", he added, before also including Liverpool as interested parties.

"Liverpool have also spoken to my agent, but everything is still at the stage of negotiating."

Boudebouz made 36 appearances in Ligue 1 for Sochaux last season, scoring six goals and chipping in six assists.

Along with France star Marvin Martin (another player expected to exit the Stade Auguste Bonal this summer), he is rated as the club’s most talented performer.
