FC Porto have denied fielding an offer from Paris Saint-Germain for midfielder Joao Moutinho.

It had been reported that PSG had made a big money bid for the 25-year-old, who has only enhanced his reputation through his performances at Euro 2012 with Portugal.

Moutinho is sure to be in demand this summer – but talk of a move to the Parc des Princes is wide of the mark according to Porto president Pinto da Costa.

"A proposal from PSG for Moutinho? It’s an invention of the newspapers to sell more copies", said the Porto supremo to Antenna 1.

Moutinho has been linked with a number of clubs, including Chelsea, Juventus, Roma, Napoli and AC Milan.

The midfield schemer joined Porto in 2010 from Portuguese rivals Sporting Lisbon.
