Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has reacted to talk that the French giants want to buy Barcelona striker David Villa.

Ancelotti has been widely linked with launching a swoop for the Spain goal-getter, and PSG do have a substantial summer transfer kitty.

But Villa is not someone whose name has come up for discussion at the Parc des Princes, according to Ancelotti.

"We have not thought about David Villa for the simple reason that he was injured for a long time", said the former Chelsea boss, noting that the Barcelona man missed the second half of last season.

"He is a fantastic striker, but we are looking for a centre forward who has no physical problems", he added.

"And I do not even know if Barcelona will release him."

Villa managed to play 15 La Liga games for the Spanish giants last season, finding the back of the net five times.
