Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Thiago Silva from AC Milan.
The 27-year-old has inked a five-year contract at the Parc des Princes which will net him an impressive €7.5M per year.
Milan are believed to be pocketing around €42M from selling Silva in what is the first stage of a two-player sale to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Ligue 1 giants are also in contract talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but so far no agreement has been reached.
Ibrahimovic is still widely expected to end up following Silva to the French capital, though an agreement with the Swedish international may take longer to achieve.
Silva joined Milan from Fluminense in 2009. He was a popular figure at the San Siro, being likened by Milan fans to the legendary Franco Baresi.
