Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle has insisted that Stevan Jovetic must remain with the club for a further year.

The exciting forward has been linked with a number of clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus, but La Viola are not willing to part with their prize asset just yet.

Indeed, for Della Valle, there is no way the 22-year-old can leave in the current summer transfer window.

"I repeat, Jovetic is not transferrable", said the president.

"I have told him and I hope he understands – he must stay with us for at least another year.

"He is a great talent and our project revolves around him. The choice of Fiorentina is to keep Jovetic and I am adamant about that."

Della Valle’s words come despite Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis claiming that he knows the forward has been approached by four English Premier League clubs.

And while Fiorentina’s stance is a firm one, there surely remains the possibility that a large enough offer could force Della Valle to reassess the situation.
