Nuri Sahin is likely to play his football next season in the English Premier League.

According to Madrid-based Marca, Real Madrid have taken the decision to loan the Turkey international midfielder to an English club for the entire 2012/13 season.

It is not yet clear just which side Sahin will join, but it is not believed to be Tottenham Hotspur, who have been heavily linked with taking the pass-master as part of a transfer to send Luka Modric to the Bernabeu.

One possibility is Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, a club thought to have expressed an interest in Sahin.

Real Madrid are aiming to welcome Sahin back in the summer of 2013 when hopefully he will have a full season of first team football under his belt.

Los Blancos boss Jose Mourinho is understood to still rate the Turkey star highly but believes more maturity is needed in his game to play in the Bernabeu engine room.
