Anderlecht chairman Roger Vanden Stock has hit out at Matias Suarez’ impending departure from the Belgian giants, insisting he is leaving the club just for money.

A bid has been submitted by CSKA Moscow for the Argentine striker and he is expected to end up moving to the Russian capital. For Anderlecht, losing Suarez would be a blow, but one they appear ready to take.

And while the money will be welcome, Vanden Stock is under no illusions about what is driving the transfer.

"There will be an agreement, the transfer will happen", said the Anderlecht supremo.

"I have more than the feeling that the entourage of the player wants him to leave. Why? As usual, for the money!"

The Belgian also explained just why Suarez, who had been linked with a number of clubs, including Arsenal will end up playing his football in Russia.

"His options were reduced", said Vanden Stock.

"He could not go to England and Spain, with many clubs in debt, it was very difficult. Germany and France do not pay so well."
