Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan are making a push to sign Malaga striker Salomon Rondon.

Malaga are suffering a number of financial issues at present and clubs are eyeing up their most talented performers for cut-price swoops.

Already Manuel Pellegrini’s men look likely to lose winger Santi Cazorla, who appears set to join Arsenal, while French midfielder Jeremy Toulalan has given notice that he could head for the exit door.

But losing talented striker Rondon would be a hammer blow to the club’s hopes of being competitive in the new season, especially in the Champions League.

Now sources in Spain have indicated that Rubin Kazan are ready to pay €12M to sign the goal-getter, an amount Malaga could find difficult to refuse.

The 22-year-old Rondon is rated as one of Malaga’s key performers and joined the club in 2010 from Las Palmas.

He has earned 24 caps for Venezuela and hit the back of the net 11 times in 37 La Liga games last season.
