A move to the MLS could be on the agenda for Cristiano Ronaldo in the future after the Portuguese forward admitted that he is planning on sampling football in the United States.

Real Madrid are currently taking part in the World Football Challenge in the country and thrashed David Beckham’s Los Angeles Galaxy 5-1 recently.

Ronaldo though has still been more than impressed by the quality of the play he has witnessed and can well imagine playing in the MLS at some point in his career.

"America is great. I really enjoy it", said the 27-year-old.

"I hope to someday play here.

"Although I am quite impressed by the level here, I think the chance to help soccer in America would mean I would give it even greater consideration."

The MLS has proven to be a magnet for ageing stars in recent years, with Beckham and Thierry Henry both plying their trade in the league.
