Inter president Massimo Moratti has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain have submitted a bid for Brazil midfielder Lucas Moura – and it has blown the Nerazzurri out of the water.

Moura is also wanted by Manchester United, and the English side’s boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed earlier this summer that the Old Trafford outfit were aiming to buy the 19-year-old.

And recently the Red Devils’ interest in Moura took a step forward when a much improved offer landed in Sao Paulo’s lap, thought to be around €37.8M.

But Moura’s agent Wagner Ribeiro attended PSG’s high-profile friendly against Barcelona at the weekend and spoke with the French club’s sporting director Leonardo about his client post-match.

Quickly talk grew of a megabucks offer from the Parisiens which would put Inter and Manchester United out of the race – and now Moratti has confirmed that PSG have indeed entered the chase for Moura with a bang.

"Lucas is too expensive for us", said the Inter supremo.

"The €45M bid from PSG speaks for itself. They are just on another planet.

"PSG are having a facelift to rebuild their team."

Moura is currently playing for Mano Menezes’ Brazil side at the 2012 London Olympics and his future looks set to be on hold until the conclusion of that tournament.

There has been further talk in France that the midfielder may only land at the Parc des Princes in January, affording him another six months at Sao Paulo, something which would further delight Moura’s club.
