Italian giants Inter have been linked with a swoop for CSKA Moscow star Alan Dzagoev, who was in impressive form at Euro 2012 with Russia.
The Nerazzurri are thinking of life after Wesley Sneijder and see the 22-year-old Russian as a potentially exciting replacement for the Dutch schemer.
Sneijder has insisted he does not want to head for the exit door at Inter just yet, but he is understood to be attracting interest from clubs in both England and Russia.
Should there be some movement on the former Real Madrid man’s future this summer, then Inter could well choose to make a move for Dzagoev as his replacement.
Dzagoev is rated as one of Russia’s brightest up and coming talents and is expected to see his role in the national team under Fabio Capello grow following his performances in Poland/Ukraine.
At club level, the midfielder turns out for CSKA Moscow and Inter would need to pay a substantial sum for his services.
It also remains to be seen whether Dzagoev would consent to leaving his homeland and moving to Serie A.
