Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva is excited about his countryman Lucas Moura joining him at the Parc des Princes.

Silva’s side beat off competition from Manchester United and Inter to land the highly-rated 19-year-old from Sao Paulo, splurging a substantial €45M to ensure they won the race for one of Brazil’s most promising talents.

Moura is now due to arrive at PSG in January, but already Silva, who played alongside the attacking midfielder as part of the Brazil team at the 2012 London Olympic Games, is looking forward to working with him once again.

"Soon he will be one of the best players for our country. I have no doubt about it", Silva told France Football.

"He rarely misplaces his passes and can easily bring the ball towards goal.

"Playing up front with Ibrahimovic and others, it is promising."
