Swansea City have submitted an improved offer for Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez, according to Valencia-based daily Super Deporte.

Michael Laudrup’s men are believed to have bid €5M for the Spaniard at first, but have now increased that amount to €6.5M as they seek to ensure Hernandez’ signature is bagged before the transfer window closes.

The Welsh giants are thought to be close to selling wide-man Scott Sinclair to Manchester City and Hernandez would slot straight in as a replacement at the Liberty Stadium.

Hernandez is keen to head to play his football in the English Premier League and link up with Laudrup.

The 27-year-old was left out of Valencia’s travelling party to face Real Madrid in the club’s La Liga opener at the weekend.

He may now be set to sample football outside Spain for the first time in his career if Swansea’s €6.5M offer is deemed acceptable by Los Che.
