CSKA Moscow have made a bid of around €11M for Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel, according to Dutch sports magazine Voetbal International.
Van Wolfswinkel enjoyed a fruitful 2011/12 campaign in Portugal and attracted a great number of scouts to take in Sporting’s games.
A flurry of bids were expected for the 23-year-old this summer, but as yet they have not materialised, while Sporting have also been speaking about extending the striker’s contract.
Sporting would like to keep hold of Van Wolfswinkel, but money may talk and the player’s agent admits the ball is in the Portuguese club’s court.
"He has not directly said no", stressed Louis Laros.
"But he respects his contract and we will wait to see what the club wants to do."
Van Wolfswinkel only joined Sporting last summer from FC Utrecht and is under contract until 2016.
