FC Porto coach Victor Pereira has included midfielder Joao Moutinho in his squad to play Olhanense tomorrow, despite suggestions Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a fee for the player.

It is believed Andre Villas-Boas’ men have sent an offer of €27M to Porto for Moutinho, as Spurs try to replace Luka Modric, who was sold to Real Madrid earlier this week.

Moutinho has long been a favoured option of Villas-Boas, who worked with the midfielder at Porto and tried to snap him up when in charge of Chelsea.

It remains to be seen whether the Portugal international will end up at White Hart Lane before the transfer window slams shut, but as yet there is no official word from Porto on a potential transfer.

The 25-year-old is a product of Sporting Lisbon’s esteemed youth academy and joined Porto from the Lions in 2010.

Under Villas-Boas he picked up a remarkable treble in the 2010/11 campaign, winning the Portuguese league, Portuguese Cup and the Europa League.
