Raul Meireles has completed a move from Chelsea to Fenerbahce.

The Portuguese midfielder, who travelled to Istanbul earlier today for a medical with the Yellow Canaries, has penned a four-year contract at the club.

It remains to be seen just how much Fenerbahce have paid for Meireles, though whatever the exact figure, it was one Chelsea simply could not resist – and the 29-year-old has been sold.

The lively midfielder only joined Chelsea last year, moving from Liverpool on the final day of the summer transfer window.

He has enjoyed a fruitful, if short, stay at Stamford Bridge, picking up both the FA Cup and Champions League with Chelsea last season.

Meireles represents yet another coup for Fenerbahce, who have been impressive operators in the summer transfer market this year, snapping up Milos Krasic from Juventus and Dirk Kuyt from Liverpool, in similarly notable signings.
